EMBODIED ACTIVISM: We will workshop what political activism means at the subjective level, through processes of embodiment. Using improvisation and movement exploration, we will investigate the field of inter-relational research. This workshop looks to draw out unrealized experiences around beliefs about our gendered bodies. How do we experience our self in relationship and proximity to others through the lens of gender identity? What can we learn about ourselves by being with others, and what are the implications of this? Embodied Activism is a way into confronting assumptions and judgments around social codes, and playing with new possibilities of behavior and ways of being.
